Privacy notice
This notice explains what we collect through this website and how we handle it. It is written with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) in mind.
This is starter privacy content prepared for the launch of this website. It should be reviewed and completed with a legal adviser before it is relied upon.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, mobile number (if you provide it) and country. If you choose to, you may also share your pet’s name, preferred engraving wording and their story. Nothing else is collected about you by this site.
Memorial details and the engraving preview
The engraving preview on the homepage runs entirely in your browser. What you type into it is not transmitted or stored. Memorial details reach us only when you complete the enquiry form and tick the consent box.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, to discuss the engraving with you, and to prepare a HaloVase if you decide to proceed. We do not use it for anything else, we do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list.
Consent
We only process the details you submit after you have ticked the consent box on the enquiry form. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to answer and fulfil your enquiry.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Write to us and we will respond. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Information Officer
POPIA requires a responsible party to designate an Information Officer.
Security
Enquiry submissions are stored in an access-controlled database and transmitted over an encrypted connection. No system is perfect, so please do not send us anything through this website that you would not want held in an ordinary business record.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics service is installed on it. If that changes, this notice will be updated first.
